Why it exists

At a busy hour, hunting for a product, keeping a notebook and counting stock at closing all take time away from selling. Tezgah records the sale the moment you scan a barcode, takes it off your stock and reports on the day. No barcode scanner? No problem: any phone in the shop can be one.

What it does

Turn your phone into a barcode scanner.

A phone on the same Wi-Fi connects from its browser, reads barcodes with the camera and adds stock. No extra device to buy.

See your profit at the till.

The payment screen shows the cart's cost, your profit and the biggest discount you can give without a loss. It warns you before a sale at a loss.

Why I made it

A friend of mine left an office job to open a corner shop selling tobacco and drinks, and the shop needed an app. So I built Tezgah. Every version was tried at that shop’s counter; returns, pay-later sales and the profit card were added because they asked for them.
